Bulk mailings area fun way to meet other textile artists and help the Textile Center. Sometimes it just means slapping a label on a postcard and sorting, sometimes it is a process of stuffing, sealing, labeling and sorting.

Gallery Installation
Gallery shows change approximately every six weeks. This position includes some repair of gallery walls, moving walls, arranging work and adjusting lights.

The Textile Center newsletter is published quarterly and should be delivered to stores and organizations around the Twin Cities. We are looking for people who would be willing to drive around certain areas of the cities and make those deliveries.

Painting, patching walls, periodic cleaning in the attic and basement, gardening and snow shoveling are all jobs that need to happen at the Textile Center as often as they happen at home.

Public Relations and Communications
Several jobs are available in this area. Some require a regular monthly commitment to come in and work on mailings and press releases. We also need people to write newsletter articles and do web research, which could be done from home by people with computer access and self-motivation.

Fundraising
This volunteer area can largely be done from home or in our office. Periodically we call for sponsors and donations. This area requires comfort dealing with a variety of people and making cold calls.

Teaching Assistant
During large events and summer camps an extra set of hands is always helpful. This job is for volunteers who enjoy and have experience working with kids and could include anything from setting up to helping campers with projects but would never include leading a project.
