- The location! We are partnering with the U of M ReUse Warehouse to give us more space for an even bigger Garage Sale with lots of parking.
- Finished fiber art will be for sale! The Garage Sale now includes the Fiber Frenzy Sale (formerly scheduled for February 11th).
- Studio furnishings will be for sale! The ReUse Warehouse will also be open to shoppers with items great for your art studio.

THE BIG SALE
Saturday, April 14
8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The biggest Textile Garage Sale is back again. Imagine hundreds of square feet of space piled high with fabric, yarn, threads, notions, kits, patterns, magazines, tools, beads, buttons—even finished and unfinished textile art! Again this year we expect sewing machines, sergers, looms, knitting machines, and other specialty equipment available for bidding in a silent auction.
Admission: just $1

This year we are partnering with the U of M ReUse Program to give us more space for an even bigger Garage Sale with lots of parking. The ReUse Program Warehouse will also be open to shoppers with items great for your art studio!

THE PREVIEW SALE
Friday, April 13, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Get in before the crowds! Enjoy music and refreshments while you browse the best deals. It’s the most fun you can have for $25. Admission supports Textile Center programs. Free parking in lot for Preview Sale.
Admission: $25 donation at the door
$1 BAG SALE
Saturday, April 14, 3 to 5 p.m.
Everything must go! After 3 p.m., pay just $1 for everything you can stuff into a paper shopping bag. If it doesn't fit in the bag, it’s 50 percent off. We provide the bags.
HOW TO DONATE
The Textile Garage Sale is only possible with generous donations from supporters like you.
Donations Accepted:
Thursday, April 12, 5 to 8 p.m.
Friday, April 13, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Donation Drop-Off:
U of M ReUse Program Warehouse
883 29th Avenue SE, Minneapolis
Follow signage to the drop off area where volunteers will help you unload. Receipts will be available to acknowledge your donation. For security reasons, we cannot accept donations left outside the building. If you can’t drop off your donation on April 12th or 13th, ask a friend to help or call 612-436-0464.
How to Price Donations:
Please price the items you are donating prior to drop-off. This is a huge help to us; we appreciate your time!
Pricing Tips:
Unsure about pricing? Consider the age and condition of the item and assign a value approximately 25 to 50 percent of the original cost. If you don’t know or can’t remember the original cost, make your best guess.
- Do NOT price patterns or pattern magazines.
- Package or bundle your items. Place small items such as ribbons, buttons or fabric scraps in securely sealed, clear plastic bags.
- Price in even dollar amounts only (such as $1, NOT $1.50).
- Use permanent ink in large print to mark prices on stickers/masking tape. Securely fasten to items.
- If you know, include fiber-content, yardage, etc.
