Recent graduates of fiber programs and artists using fiber-based techniques are increasingly visible in the contemporary art market. Yet long time devotees of fiber-based craft often struggle with describing the meaning of their work. “Do I really know what my work is about?” or “Why does my work need a meaning? are questions that frequently arise as a fiber artist moves from developing their craft to firm grounding in the arena of contemporary art. Join artist and educator Tracy Krumm in a class that combines group critique with theoretical discussion to aid artists in taking their art to the next level by increasing their conceptual understanding of their own and others’ work. Register in advance, space is limited to six students. Download supply list.
