IKEA Project Patchwork Art Quilt Challenge
IKEA is partnering with Textile Center to support the Textile Mobile, art in the schools and summer camp programs. All proceeds from the sale of the Art Quilts will go to support the Textile Mobile programs that serve children of low-income families in the Twin Cities.
Fifty artists were invited to participate in this fundraiser by making an art quilt to donate to the IKEA Project Patchwork show and sale. IKEA provided packets of their fantastic and colorful fabrics that participants in the challenge have transformed in to works of art. The IKEA Project Patchwork Challenge was limited to 50 participants; each artist was given 4 yards of 4 different designs to create an art quilt piece, which will then be donated to the benefit on March 21, 2009.
